In this video Dr. Sherrill Sellman demonstrates one of the easiest ways to use the extremely nutritional Salvia hispanica (Salba), commonly known as Chia seed in our diets. She grinds it into a powder for cooking and soaks it to eat as a pudding.

In a one ounce (28 g) sample, Salba seeds contain 9% of the Daily Value for protein, 13% oil (57% of which is ALA) and 42% dietary fiber, based on a daily intake of 2000 calories. The Salba seeds also contain essential minerals, phosphorus, manganese, calcium, potassium and sodium.
